The character creation options though I'm with you 100%. Originally posted by Kaelus Von Sestiaf:Having also started off on SC5 and coming to SC6, I both agree and disagree with you. SC6 CAS is similar enough to SC5 CAS that I really can't excuse the missing parts, missing accessories, and I despise the fact that some of these missing parts are now DLC. Some accessories like tails are even worse, as they are included into a race and unavailable as accessories, which removes using them in creative ways (i made a killer goatee with !!creative!! positioning and coloring of the racoon tail, for instance), and it's just a shame. There's a bunch of CAS parts that were in base game SC5 that are either non-existent or DLC in 6 and I hate it. SCV's story was ok but I think what we got in 6 is also good. Story mode, eh, I feel like you're ignoring Soul Chronicle which I feel fulfills what you're asking for in a story mode, just more fragmented. I don't miss Pyrrha, tbh, but I guess she'd fall in that same umbrella, where it'd be cool to have her as essentially a 'costume' for Sophitia. I'd also love for Xiba, Natsu and Alpha Patroklos to return as, idk, skins with voicelines? Of Kilik, Taki and Setsuka respectively, 'cause I loved them but there's no point in adding them as unique characters since their moveset is basically already in. That said, I miss Zwei, I miss Normal Patroklos, I miss Viola, I miss Dampierre, I miss Aeon.

There's plenty of other create a souls that flat out benefit from it anyway. If the flexibility of the style for create a soul has to suffer for it so be it, tbh. Having also started off on SC5 and coming to SC6, I both agree and disagree with you.įor instance, your opinion on Alpha patroklos vs Setsuka is flawed - They didn't add an umbrella, it was always there because the original style is Setsuka's, it's how it's always been, and it adds proper flair and style to the character. i do agree though the combat is more refined in a sense yes zwei and dampierre, viola and Aeon are gone which sucks cause I liked those styles. well I can understand the replacement characters natsu and xiba essentially being the taki and kilik replacement styles but when it comes to the fighting styles i dont care about the character themselves its the large amount of feminine-ness added to some as well as i personally think A patroklos took that style and made it more character creator friendly. The less said about Reversal Edge, the better, but they can't all be winners. Brave Edge and Critical Edge were interesting, but I much prefer the Soul Charge/Soul Attack/Critical Edge as a way to alleviate pressure. SCVI's mechanics are significantly improved from SCV. Alpha Patroklos in particular was designed based off of Setsuka from SoulCalibur III and SoulCalibur VI, so I appreciated the return to basics. and Dampierre, I will never miss Patroklos, Natsu, and Xiba. I, for one, disagree with you on almost all counts. Originally posted by Noodles:You're opinion is honestly in the minority.

granted I still really like the game but I expected better I suppose NOT to mention they removed the profile level system where the more you played you would unlock more customization options and frames and such.įeels like a numbed down SCV with a few added features better graphics. sure the DLC adds a lot of character specific armor and such but ive noticed quite a lot of character creation items are no longer in the game. It feels like they removed a lot of character creation options. meanwhile outside of the online mode this game feels like it has little substance i mean once you get past the cringe I personally enjoyed the dynamic of siblings fighting on opposite sides of the swords of good and evil while still trying to reconnect. No actual story mode outside of libra of the soul.
#PYRRHA SOULCALIBUR 5 PLUS#
not to mention certain characters I liked such as Alpha Pat fighting tyle is now used with setsuna who is the SAME thing but less nuetral and is overly feminine PLUS they added an umbrella like what a way to ruin a perfectly fine fighting style. it feels like most of the fighting styles I want to use are overly feminine in every possible way making creating male characters with those fighting styles suck.
